A Verndale area man was injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday in Wadena County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Raymond John Ismil, 77, was injured while northbound on Brown Street, attempting to cross Highway 10 in Verndale, when the 1999 Ford Crown Victoria he was driving was struck by an eastbound 2020 Toyota Corolla, driven by Christopher M. Roman, 42, of East Hampton, Connecticut.
According to the State Patrol report, Ismil was taken to Staples Hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening. Road conditions were listed as dry, and both drivers were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident, reported just after 10AM.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
