A woman was injured in a 2 vehicle accident yesterday in Roseau County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Anna Helene Nelson, 24, of Roseau was injured when the eastbound 2007 Pontiac G6 she was driving struck the drivers side of a northbound 2011 Dodge Caravan, driven by 80 year old Robert Glen Kvien, of Roseau.
According to the State Patrol report, the driver of the Dodge proceeded northbound from a stop sign in front of the Pontiac, with the driver unable to avoid striking the vehicle. Nelson was taken to LifeCare Hospital – Roseau and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening. Kvien, and a passenger in his vehicle suffered no apparent injury.
Road conditions were listed as dry and all were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident, reported just before 6:30PM.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
