An aerial mosquito control application for Newfolden is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd, between 7-11pm, weather permitting. Should the spray be rescheduled, it would then take place the following evening.
Come to Plummer for a spectacular 4th of July Celebration. Festivities start on Thursday, July 4th at 8am with their annual 5K Fun Run/Walk, meet at the fire hall, registration starts at 7am. Activities during the day include a Flea Market from 10am – 4pm, the Kiddie Parade and Grand Parade at 11am, followed by a Tractor and Car Show. Music, bingo and raffle drawings will be available throughout the afternoon.
Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 10 original pieces of art by regional adult artists. The exhibit will be at the East Grand Forks Campbell Library from June 29th through August 31st.
Registration is now open for parade floats for the Pennington County Fair and is available online at penningtoncoutntyfair.org. Registration can be printed or submitted online, and is also available at Benton, Safranski and Company at 116 3rd Street West in Thief River Falls. Registration forms are due on Monday, July 15th at 1:00 PM.
