New technology has been approved for Pennington County Deputies.
Pennington County Sheriff Ray Kuznia says when some one places an emergency call, dispatchers will have the ability to send the caller an option to approve activation of their video app to send live video to dispatchers. Sheriff Kuznia says new software will allow dispatchers to better assess medical emergencies and know what situations they will be facing. He says the system sends video to dispatchers through the Cloud.
County Commissioners approved the purchase at their regular meeting last week in downtown Thief River Falls. Funds to pay for the new system are being taken out of the County’s 911 Budget.
The Board passed the motion pending approval of County Attorney Seamus Duffy.
