(Southlake, TX) — The MLB community is mourning the loss of Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs. The 27-year-old was found dead in his hotel room in Southlake, Texas on Monday. No foul play is suspected. The Angels were in town to play the Texas Rangers and the game was postponed. Skaggs is survived by his wife, Carli.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Timberwolves have agreed to a deal with restricted free agent forward Jordan Bell. Multiple outlets report it’s a one-year guaranteed contract. The Warriors have the right to match it, but aren’t expected to after recent moves. Bell has averaged 3.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in limited action over his first two NBA seasons with Golden State.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Timberwolves are adding a pair of guards via trade. ESPN reports the Wolves will acquire guards Shabazz Napier and Treveon Graham along with cash from the Warriors as part of the sign-and-trade deal for D’Angelo Russell from the Nets.

(St. Paul, MN) — The Wild are bolstering their front line on the first day of free agency. They agreed to a five-year, 30-million-dollar contract with winger Mats Zuccarello. The Wild also inked forward Ryan Hartman to a two-year, 3.8-million-dollar deal, and forwards Gabriel Dumont and Luke Johnson to two-way contracts.
