Come to Plummer for a spectacular 4th of July Celebration. Festivities start on Thursday, July 4th at 8am with their annual 5K Fun Run/Walk, meet at the fire hall, registration starts at 7am. Activities during the day include a Flea Market from 10am – 4pm, the Kiddie Parade and Grand Parade at 11am, followed by a Tractor and Car Show. Music, bingo and raffle drawings will be available throughout the afternoon.
The Thief River Falls Community Theater is celebrating their 24th season with the third 2019 Summer Theater Production ready for your enjoyment. “The Jungle Books Kids” will be presented from Wednesday, July 10th through Friday, July 12th. All performances are at 7pm at the NCTC Theater, with Flexpass and single performance tickets available at Digi-Key; tickets will be sold nightly at the door if seating is available.
The Middle River Farmer’s Market, located at the picnic shelter on Main Street, is open Friday afternoons from 2-5pm, featuring plants, baked goods, jellies, fruits and vegetables, farm fresh eggs, fancy work and garden décor. The TRF Farmer’s Market is now open for the 2019 season on Saturdays in the Floyd B. Olson/Gazebo Park from 9am-noon. You’ll find vegetables, baked/canned goods, jellies and jams, honey, potted plants, tea, salsa, crafts and so much more!
Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 10 original pieces of art by regional adult artists. The exhibit will be at the East Grand Forks Campbell Library from June 29th through August 31st.
Registration is now open for parade floats for the Pennington County Fair and is available online at penningtoncoutntyfair.org. Registration can be printed or submitted online, and is also available at Benton, Safranski and Company at 116 3rd Street West in Thief River Falls. Registration forms are due on Monday, July 15th at 1:00 PM.
