The future of the old auditorium meeting scheduled for tonight July 10th has been changed.  There will be a booth at the Pennington County Fair on Saturday, July 20th, where you can see three preliminary designs and give your thoughts on how this building could be used in the future.

The Thief River Falls Community Theater is celebrating their 24th season with the third 2019 Summer Theater Production ready for your enjoyment.  “The Jungle Books Kids” will be presented from Wednesday, July 10th through Friday, July 12th.  All performances are at 7pm at the NCTC Theater, with Flexpass and single performance tickets available at Digi-Key; tickets will be sold nightly at the door if seating is available.

Tri-Community Living at Home is sponsoring the Senior Meal, followed by bingo, starting at noon on Thursday, July 11th at Nazareth Church in Holt.

Enjoy an afternoon of fellowship and fun at noon on Tuesday, July 16th at the American Legion in Thief River Falls. Come and hear Julia Nelson, Physical Therapist from Thief River Falls, as she shares about falling and what we can do about it. Joyce Yexley, from West Fargo, will talk about “A Broken Dream-From Fiery Trial to New Purpose” and Jalen Garthus from Holt will bring his musical talents to you. The Pennington County Sportsmen’s Club is sponsoring the Northern Pike Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, July 13th; registration is from 6am-9am at the Centennial Park Shelter in TRF, the cost is $5 a fisherman. This event is for kids age 17 and under; parents or guardians must be present at registration.  The derby is on the Red Lake or Thief rivers by boat, off-shore or on a dock.  Random awards will be presented starting at 1:00pm in Centennial Park.  For questions call Dana Klos at 218-689-7376.

It’s that time of year again for “Thunder on Hooves Bull Ride Mutton Bustin’”, brought to you by TRF Radio.  Sign up your little ones ages 4-8 yrs. that weigh less than 60 lbs. by bringing them out to the TRF Radio Station during business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  Entries will be limited to 20 contestants per performance on both Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year.  The exhibit includes 10 original pieces of art by regional adult artists.  The exhibit will be at the East Grand Forks Campbell Library from June 29th through August 31st.

Registration is now open for parade floats for the Pennington County Fair and is available online at penningtoncoutntyfair.org. Registration can be printed or submitted online, and is also available at Benton, Safranski and Company at 116 3rd Street West in Thief River Falls.  Registration forms are due on Monday, July 15th at 1:00 PM.
