Flags at Minnesota state and federal buildings are to be flown at half-staff today in honor of fallen Red Lake Conservation Officer Shannon Barron by order of the governor.
Conservation Officer Barron died on duty while he suffered a medical emergency when responding to a call. He served twenty-three years with the Red Lake Department of Public Safety and leaves behind a wife, two children, the aunt who raised him, and many friends and family. He served the Red Lake Department of Public Safety for 23 years.
Flags will be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota, from sunrise until sunset.
At the direction of the Governor, Minnesota flies flags at half-staff following the death of Minnesota first-responders fallen in the line of duty, on the day of interment.
