Come and support the Middle River area youth and Sunday Schools at “Burger Night” on Wednesday, July 31st from 5-7pm at the American Legion in Middle River. Proceeds will go towards Pathways Vacation Bible School that will be held locally August 5th-8th.
The Thief River Falls Community Theater is celebrating their 24th season with the fourth 2019 Summer Theater Production ready for your enjoyment. “The Music Man” will be presented Wednesday, July 31st through Friday, August 2nd. All performances are at 7pm at the NCTC Theater, with Flexpass and single performance tickets available at Digi-Key; tickets will be sold nightly at the door if seating is available.
Tri-Community Living at Home is sponsoring the Senior Meal, followed by bingo, starting at noon on Thursday, August 2nd at Nazareth Church in Holt.
A benefit for Jeremy Johnson will be held Thursday, August 1st from 4-8 pm at the Eagles Club in TRF. They will be serving pulled pork on a bun; activities include a bake sale, a silent and live auction, a raffle, and a free will offering. Jeremy is undergoing chemo treatment at the University of Minnesota following 2 earlier surgeries for Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the tongue and will be staying in Minneapolis for about 8 weeks. A benefit fund has been set up in Jeremy’s name at Northern State Bank in Thief River Falls; make checks payable to Jeremy Johnson Benefit and drop off or mail to the bank. The Annual Thief River Falls Community Block Party “Night to Unite” will be held at Peder Engelstad Pioneer Village on Tuesday, August 6th from 5-7 pm. They will have free hot dogs, chips and watermelon, door prizes and live entertainment that includes the Northland Community Band performing at 5:00 pm and the Cathy Erickson Band at 5:45 pm.
Benefit for Joy & Randy Knutson Tuesday, August 6th from 4:30 – 7:30 pm in the Newfolden Community Center. Taco in a bag, bake sale and silent auction. Randy has been battling Multiple Myeloma Bone Cancer, and Joy has been diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach Cancer. Proceeds will go to defray medical expenses, travel costs for treatment. Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).
