The Thief River Falls Community Theater is celebrating their 24th season with the final 2019 Summer Theater Production ready for your enjoyment.  “The Music Man” will be presented tonight, Friday, August 2nd, at 7pm at the NCTC Theater, with Flexpass and single performance tickets available at Digi-Key; tickets will be sold at the door if seating is available.

There will be a benefit for Joy & Randy Knutson on Tuesday, August 6th from 4:30 – 7:30 pm in the Newfolden Community Center.  They will be serving Taco in a Bag, with a bake sale and silent auction held during the evening. Randy has been battling Multiple Myeloma Bone Cancer, and Joy has been diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach Cancer.  Proceeds will go to defray medical expenses and travel costs for treatment.  An account has been set up at Marshall County State Bank under Knutson Benefit for monetary donations. The Annual Thief River Falls Community Block Party “Night to Unite” will be held at Peder Engelstad Pioneer Village on Tuesday, August 6th from 5-7 pm. They will have free hot dogs, chips and watermelon, door prizes and live entertainment that includes the Northland Community Band performing at 5:00 pm and the Cathy Erickson Band at 5:45 pm.

The Middle River Farmer’s Market, located at the picnic shelter on Main Street, is open Friday afternoons from 2-5pm, featuring plants, baked goods, jellies, fruits and vegetables, farm fresh eggs, fancy work and garden décor.  For questions contact Debbie at 222-3540 or Emily at 222-3556, and you can also find them on Facebook.

The TRF Farmer’s Market is now open for the 2019 season on Thursdays in the Floyd B. Olson/Gazebo Park from 4:30-7pm and on Saturdays from 9-noon.  You’ll find vegetables, baked/canned goods, jellies and jams, honey, potted plants, tea, salsa, crafts and so much more!
