Nexus Church and the Thief River Falls Evangelical Free Church invite you to their “Back to School Family Night” on Wednesday, August 14th from 6-8pm at Challenger Elementary School; this is a FREE event for all families. There will be free gently used clothes, packages filled school supplies, hot dogs and pop, face painting, cotton candy, inflatables, dunk tank and more! Please park on the north (back) parking lot; school supplies and clothes will be in the gym, games and food will be in the west field.
TRF Lions are hosting a Picnic In The Park, Tuesday, August 13th from 5-7 pm in Lions Park Nora Street East. Free will donation for Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and a drink. Stop out and see the new playground equipment the Lions donated $26,000 to purchase.
The NW Ducks Unlimited Banquet will be held on Friday, August 16th at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls. Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 10 original pieces of art by regional adult artists. The exhibit will be at the East Grand Forks Campbell Library through August 31st.
