The TRF Lions are hosting a Picnic in The Park on Tuesday, August 13th from 5-7 pm at Lions Park. There will be a free will donation and they will be serving hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and a drink. Stop out and see the new playground equipment that the Lions have donated $26,000 to purchase.
Nexus Church and the Thief River Falls Evangelical Free Church invite you to their “Back to School Family Night” on Wednesday, August 14th from 6-8pm at Challenger Elementary School; this is a FREE event for all families. There will be free gently used clothes, packages filled school supplies, hot dogs and pop, face painting, cotton candy, inflatables, dunk tank and more! It’s “Good Old Days” in Viking on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 16th, 17th, and 18th. The three day celebration begins on Friday night at 8:00 with a free movie; on Saturday you’ll find a Flea Market, the parade at 11am, kid’s activities, live music, tractor pull, bingo, drawings, karaoke, great food vendors and so much more! The Thief River Falls Archery Club is sponsoring an Outdoor 3D Archery Shoot from 8am-5pm on both Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th; registration cut-off is 2:30 on Sunday. The first round is $15, additional rounds are $10, with youth 12 and under $5; the family max for the first round is $30. There will be 30 3D animal targets and youth equipment will be available for younger archers. They will also have concessions at the sign-up shack. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.
