Produce Safety Rule Inspections are now taking place across the country.
According to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, on-farm inspections have begun in Minnesota for farms that are covered under the federal Produce Safety Rule (PSR). According to a release from the Department of Ag, farmers who have not yet confirmed farm status, are asked to fill out the online Grower Questionnaire.
The Department of Ag says the time inspectors spend at a farm for an inspection has averaged approximately four hours, though inspection length is subject to change depending on a farm’s size and practices.
