Some stolen mail is being returned to some Red Lake Falls area residents.
According to the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Around 100 pieces of stolen mail were recovered by police August 2nd. The Sheriff’s Office reports authorities with the District Court and involved attorneys have given the okay to to return the mail to the Post Office for delivery. According to a Sheriff’s Department social media post, “the mail is in various conditions meaning some has been opened and partial contents removed.”
Angela Marie Violette, 29, was arrested in Thief River Falls July 29th, and taken to the jail in Crookston, booked on felony mail theft, after a search warrant was executed on a vehicle that was parked in the city of Thief River Falls.
According to Red Lake County Sheriff Mitch Bernstein, items related to thefts were recovered from the vehicle.
