Governor Tim Walz has announced plans to travel to Asia.
According to a release from the Governors Office, Walz intends to promote Minnesota business, and bolster economic partnerships while he visits Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, (soul) South Korea early next month. Governor Walz says the U-S/China trade war continues to impact Minnesota farmers. Minnesota is home to nearly 35 Japanese-based companies, located in every corner of the state and in several sectors.
Walz had hinted at the trade mission just before this summers FarmFest earlier this month in Redwood Falls.
