All women’s volleyball captains and players interested in having a volleyball team on Tuesday or Thursday nights for the 2019-2020 season are invited to attend an organizational meeting on Thursday, August 29th at 7pm in the back room of the Black Cat.  If you have any questions, please contact the recreation department at 218-681-2519.

You can run in the Digi-Key Cares Digi-Dash 3K/5K/10K Run on Saturday, September 14th.  The entry fee is $20 if you’re pre-registered before August 28th or $25 on the day of the race.  Kids under 10 are free and the family max is $50.  Registration on the day is at 8am in the Digi-Key west parking lot.  New this year is the pre-race Stretch with Rehab Authority and Cross Fit Great North at 8:25am.

The 11th Annual NCH Trails to Treatment Cancer Benefit and Ride will be held on Friday & Saturday, August 30th & 31st in Middle River.  This event will be dedicated to the memory of Barb Geer, TTT Committee member from 2013-2019.  Events will start at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 30, and at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 31.  Visit www.northcountryhorsemen.com for a list of scheduled events.

The Fall 2019 TRF High School Clay Target Registration is now open to FMS and LHS students in grades 6-12 who have successfully completed the Hunter Firearm Safety Program and have a Minnesota State Approved Firearm Safety Certificate.  The season dates are September 8th-October 24th; the sign-up deadline is September 6th.  If you have questions please call Marty Peterson at 218-686-5621.

The summer schedule for distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 10:30am-1:30pm and every Thursday from 3pm-6pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children.
