A Strathcona area man on probation has been charged with possessing 176 grams of illicit methamphetamine.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Shane Scherven, 23, has been charged with 1st degree possession of a controlled substance. Authorities say officers with the Pine to Prairies Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence where Scherven resides with his grand parents on August 29th, and seized around 176 grams of meth, a digital scale, cash “and numerous other items related to the sale and use of methamphetamine.”
Agents also arrested Samantha Perez on an unrelated felony warrant out of Saint Louis for 4th Degree Possession of Heroin.
Scherven faces up to 40 years in prison, a one million dollar fine or both if convicted.
