Governor Tim Walz has authorized an Emergency Response Team to assist in North Carolina with Hurricane Dorian.

According to a release from the Governor’s office, Walz yesterday authorized 15 ambulances and 36 first-responders to travel to North Carolina as that state prepares for the intensifying storm. Officials in North Carolina requested several ambulance teams from around the country through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC).

Teams are scheduled to begin traveling to North Carolina this morning from Ringdahl EMS — Fergus Falls, HealthEast, Allina, and North Memorial.
