State Patrol Says High Speed and Alcohol Were Factors in Single Vehicle Otter Tail County Crash


A Perham area man was injured in a single vehicle accident Saturday in Otter Tail County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, James Robert Loerzel, 34, was injured when he allegedly lost control of the the 2004 Jeep Liberty he was driving while eastbound on Highway 210 in Tordenskjold Township. According to the State Patrol report, Loerzel was transported by Ringdahl Ambulance to Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening.

Officials say he was ejected from the vehicle during the accident reported just before 10:30PM. Loerzel was not wearing a seat-belt.

Officials say alcohol, and speed were factors in the accident.
