Officials in Pennington County are preparing for a new 4H season.

Pennington County 4H Program Coordinator Ashley Nerhus provided an update to County Commissioners yesterday at the Justice Center in downtown Thief River Falls.

Nerhus reported to County Commissioners that her first summer as Program Coordinator went well, with 118 exhibitors showing more than 500 displays at the 2019 County Fair, and 11 youth with livestock at the State Fair, with 19 general encampments. She also reported successful day-camps were held over the summer in Thief River Falls and Goodridge.

Nerhus says several important dates are coming for 4H members, and those who wish to become 4H members. The Annual 4H Carnival is scheduled for October 25th. Nerhus says in addition to being National 4H week, enrollment week begins October 1st.

She says those who wish to become 4H members should contact her office at 683-7030.
