Life Threatening Injuries Reported Following Single Vehicle Roll-Over in Grant County


A Ruidoso, New Mexico woman was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident yesterday in Grant County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Joyce Lavae Baker, 57, was injured after crossing the center line of eastbound Highway 27 in Roseville Township. According to the State Patrol report, Baker then over-corrected in the 2004 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving, with the vehicle rolling into the south ditch.

Baker was taken to Saint Could Hospital for injuries troopers at the scene describe as life threatening. She was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident, reported just before 4PM.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
