You can run in the Digi-Key Cares Digi-Dash 3K/5K/10K Run on Saturday, September 14th. The entry fee is $25 on the day of the race; kids under 10 are free and the family max is $50. Registration on the day is at 8am in the Digi-Key west parking lot. New this year is the pre-race Stretch with Rehab Authority and Cross Fit Great North at 8:25am.
Nazareth Lutheran Church of Holt will be having their annual Fall Dinner on Sunday, September 15th from 12 noon-2:30pm. The menu includes turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, lefse, rommegrot, carrots, buns, cranberries, pickles, dessert and a beverage. The cost is adults/$12, ages 5-9/$5 and preschoolers/free. Packaged lefse and rommegrot will be for sale at the door; take-outs will be available. They will also have a quilt raffle, Anniversary Cookbooks for sale, and a Bake and Craft Sale.
The Red Lake County Senior Picnic for 55 and older will be held on Tuesday, September 17th from 11am-1pm at the Brooks Community Hall; there is no charge. Sponsored by the Red Lake County Committee on aging.
The Goodridge High School graduates of the classes of 1950-1953 are gathering on Saturday, September 21st at the VFW in Thief River Falls. They will meet at 2pm to reminisce for the afternoon and evening. Friends and classmates are invited to join them for comradeship and memories. Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St, it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
The TRF Farmer’s Market is open on Saturdays in the Floyd B. Olson/Gazebo Park from 9am-noon through September 28th. You’ll find vegetables, baked/canned goods, jellies and jams, honey, potted plants, tea, salsa, crafts and so much more!
The Middle River Farmer’s Market, located at the picnic shelter on Main Street, is open Friday afternoons, through September 27th, from 2-5pm, featuring plants, baked goods, jellies, fruits and vegetables, farm fresh eggs, fancy work and garden décor.
