Governor Tim Walz has returned from his recent trade trip to Asia.
According to a release from the Governor’s Office, Walz traveled to Tokyo, from September 7th through the 10th to attend the 51st Midwest U.S. Japan Association Conference. The Governor made a one-day stop in Seoul, South Korea before returning to Minnesota on the newly-created Delta Seoul-MSP direct flight.
Walz says he made the trip with Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Steve Grove to promote Minnesota businesses, and bolster worldwide economic partnerships.
This was Governor Walz’s first international trip since taking office.
