Irvin Hamm, 72, of Goodridge, MN died on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Mayo Health Care in Mankato, MN.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, MN with Rev. Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will follow at Highlanding Cemetery, Highlanding, MN.
Irvin Clyde Hamm was born July 14, 1947 in Highlanding Township, Pennington County, MN the son Theodore and Florence (Rodman) Hamm. He attended Highlanding County School and Goodridge Public School.
Irvin entered into service with the United States Army on November 21, 1967 at Fort Carson, CO. Served 13 months in Vietnam during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged on November 20, 1969.
On August 8, 1970, Irvin was united in marriage to Pamela Adkins in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Goodridge, MN during their married years. Pamela passed away January 7, 2005.
Irvin worked at Marvin Windows, Hydra-Mac, Arctic Cat, various different farming operations at other miscellaneous jobs throughout the years. He served on the Goodridge Fire Department and First Responders for over 20 years. Irvin enjoyed attending Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with Pam’s day-care kids, visiting and meeting new people.
In August of 1999, Irvin lost his right arm in an electrical accident while working at Oak Park Lutheran Church helping to install the steeple.
Irvin, like his siblings, was a good looking, hardworking, determined, never give up, kind man.
Survivors include his sister, Donna (Harold) Becker of Wichita, KS; brothers, Walter (Jean) Hamm of Wichita, KS, Forrest Hamm of Thief River Falls, MN, Roger (Carol) Hamm of Graham, WA, Gerald (& his friend Sandy) Hamm of Warren, MN, and Daryl (Kari) Hamm of Oklee, MN; many nieces & nephews; and special friend, Sally.
He is preceded in death by his Pamela in 2005; parents; brother, Theodore Hamm Jr.; sister-in-law, Margaret Hamm; siblings Louise, Florence, Helen, Orlando, Eunice and Dora.
