A strong storm system and Arctic cold front will converge at the end of this week, bringing a period of winter weather to our doors.
According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, much colder air will move into the area tomorrow. Light rain will turn to light snow in eastern North Dakota Thursday. A strong low pressure system is forecast to develop and move into Minnesota Friday and Friday night. Widespread snow accumulation is likely, through Saturday, however, timing and placement of the heaviest snow remains uncertain.
Expect travel to be impacted over the weekend, with tree damage possible where the heaviest snow occurs.
