Meteorologists are predicting 100 percent chance of rain in the forecast before a Winter Storm Watch kicks in early tomorrow.
According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, between a half and three quarters of an inch possible, today between three quarters and one inch possible, tonight. The Winter Storm Watch begins at 1AM tomorrow.
Rain is expected to mix with, and change to snow Friday into early Saturday. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches possible. The Winter Storm Watch is expected to end at 1PM Saturday, however forecasters say that will likely not be the end to the precipitation. Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, with winds gusts as high as 40 miles per hour possible in portions of northwest Minnesota from late tonight through Saturday afternoon.
