The TRF Takedown Club invites you to join the fun of youth wrestling.  This year’s registration will take place tonight, Tuesday, November 5th, from 6-7pm in the Lincoln High School Commons.  Youth wrestling is open to all Pre-K through 5th graders.

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is pleased to announce an exhibition of painted portraits, stories, and mixed media by Christine Foster and a jingle dress-inspired sculpture by Stephanie Olson.  The exhibition is now open through November 30th at the gallery at Northland College in Thief River Falls.  Christine and Stephanie will be available at the Artist Reception at the college on Thursday, November 7th from 6 to 8pm.

Enjoy an afternoon of fellowship and fun at noon on Tuesday, November 12th at the American Legion in Thief River Falls. Come and hear Debby Schmitz, from Harvey, ND, as she shares with you how she “Copes with Life’s Changes” and Jane Anderson, from Thief River Falls, will bring her musical talents.  Maryel Anderson will be there again to auction off all the items that you bring that help make their auction a success. Local businesses share all the latest fashions at Project Runway, TRF’s largest fashion event of the year.  There will be two fashion shows this Sunday, November 10th, at 1:15pm and at 3:30pm at the Riverwalk Public House, with live performances from the Jensen Sisters.  Reservations are required, call 218-681-3262.

The public is invited to a Veterans Day Program at Marshall County Central High School in Newfolden at 1pm on Monday, November 11th.  MCC Schools and American Legion Post 427 partner each year to honor our Veterans and those in active service.  The program includes Keynote Speaker Dave Hughes; in addition, the Marshall County Central band, the high school choir, and Newfolden elementary students will perform musical pieces.

The Elevate NextGen Youth Center in Thief River Falls is open daily after school from 3pm-6pm.  It is open to all students in grades 6-12, providing a safe environment, tutoring and other programs.  Games, internet access and helpful adults will be there for all students; located at 411 North Horace Avenue in Thief River Falls.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children.
