School Referendum Results

We have a few updates in the school referendum races from Tuesday’s election.
A very close race in the Ada -Borup school district included referendum question, Shall the School Board of Independent School District No. 2854 (Ada-Borup Public Schools), Minnesota, be authorized to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,000,000 to provide funds for the acquisition of school sites and educational facilities? The voters decided Yes as they voted 290-278 in the Ada-Borup race.
In Fisher, the question was posed to voters, “shall the school board of Independent School District No. 600 (Fisher Public Schools be authorized to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $3,695,000 to provide funds for the acquisition or betterment of school sites and facilities Districtwide, including without limitation remodeling, renovation, and/or expansion of the K-12 school facility located in the City of Fisher, improving safety and security, and maintenance and infrastructure repairs?” Voters in FIsher decided no in this race by a vote of 100-73.
Briefly, the Red Lake Falls School District renewed its tax levy by a vote of 411 to 119. Red Lake Falls was asking for a $1700 per pupil rate they also voted yes to a second question asking for $8.4 million in building bonds for upgrades to J.A. Hughes Elementary by less than 100 votes, 312 to 218.
Tri-County School’s referendum was for $2476 per pupil. It has passed with a vote of 230-74.
Fertile Beltrami passed their resolution by a vote of 294-45. In this election, the question was asked, “Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 599 (Fertile-Beltrami) be authorized to use approximately $770,000 of any remaining proceeds of its General Obligation Facilities Maintenance Bonds to fund other district maintenance and projects
