The public is invited to a Veterans Day Program at Marshall County Central High School in Newfolden at 1pm on Monday, November 11th.  MCC Schools and American Legion Post 427 partner each year to honor our Veterans and those in active service.  The program includes Keynote Speaker Dave Hughes; in addition, the Marshall County Central band, the high school choir, and Newfolden elementary students will perform musical pieces.

Inter-County Nursing is offering free foot care for Veterans on Wednesday, November 13th from 1pm-3pm in the lower level meeting room of the Pennington County Courthouse.  Call 681-0876 with questions.

The Middle River Community Club meeting has a change of date.  The November meeting will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 7pm at the Spruce Valley Community Center.  A summary of the Goose Festival and plans for the upcoming year will be on the agenda.

After your successful hunt, consider supporting Hides for Habitat.  Drop off your hides in Thief River Falls and surrounding communities in northwest Minnesota where you see the large orange drop boxes.  The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association thanks you for your support.

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is pleased to announce an exhibition of painted portraits, stories, and mixed media by Christine Foster and a jingle dress-inspired sculpture by Stephanie Olson.  The exhibition is now open through November 30th at the gallery at Northland College in Thief River Falls.

The Elevate NextGen Youth Center in Thief River Falls is open daily after school from 3pm-6pm.  It is open to all students in grades 6-12, providing a safe environment, tutoring and other programs.  Games, internet access and helpful adults will be there for all students; located at 411 North Horace Avenue in Thief River Falls.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children.
