(Minneapolis, MN) — Andrew Wiggins dropped in 30 points and Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 28 as the Timberwolves smashed the Spurs 129-114 in Minneapolis. Jeff Teague chipped in with 18 points off the bench and Jake Layman had 16 for the Wolves, who have won three-of-four to improve to 7-and-4. The Wolves are home tomorrow night against the Wizards.

(St. Paul, MN) — The Wild are back home to clash with the Arizona Coyotes tonight at The X. Carolina will come to town on Saturday during the brief two-game homestand. The Wild are coming off a 2-and-2 west coast road trip and are 6-11-and-1. The Coyotes sit at 11-6-and-2.

(Undated) — Mets starter Jacob deGrom and Astros starter Justin Verlander are the 2019 MLB Cy Young Winners. DeGrom won the NL version of the award for the second straight year, while Verlander also gets his second AL Cy Young after prevoiusly winning with Detroit in 2011. Verlander beat out teammate Gerrit Cole, while the Dodgers’ Hyun-Jin Ryu was second in the NL.

(Eagan, MN) — The Vikings continue to prepare for Sunday’s battle with the Denver Broncos at US Bank Stadium. The Vikes sit at 7-and-3 after their 28-24 win at Dallas on Sunday night. Minnesota remains one game behind Green Bay for first place in the NFC North. The Broncos are 3-and-6.
