Clarice Miller, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Greenleaf Assisted Living in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral service for Clarice will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Voelker Officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Clarice Victoria Miller was born on November 7, 1924 in Thief River Falls, MN daughter of the late Victor and Clara (Froiland) Medchill. She was raised at Plummer, MN where she was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Clarice graduated from Plummer High School and received a teaching certificate through Moorhead State. She moved to the Minneapolis area where she taught primarily in St. Louis Park, retiring in 1985.
Clarice was united in marriage to Don Miller on April 20, 1996 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN.
She grew up playing piano in Immanuel Church and enjoyed playing throughout her life. Hder piano was one of her greatest treasures. Clarice traveled with friends to many countries, keeping photo and written journals of her travels. She enjoyed art, memoir writing, attending garden club and video editing with her husband Don. Clarice trusted in the Lord throughout her life and prayed side by side with her husband Don. She loved singing and playing piano hymns.
Clarice is survived by her nephews David (Dylan) Samuelson and Matthew (Andrea) Samuelson and niece Sarah (John) Kondvatuk and their families; step-children Deanna (Marshall) Collins, Larry (Carol) Miller and Joann (Chuck) Root and their families.
Clarice is preceded in death by her husband Donald Miller, sister Idella Samuelson, brother-in-law Charles Samuelson and her parents Clara and Victor Medchill.
