The garbage bag hand-out for city residents who are renters and DON’T have access to a dumpster will be held from Monday, December 2nd through Friday, December 6th at the Public Works Facility from 7am-5pm each day.
Tri-Community Living at Home is sponsoring the noon meal, followed by a Keenager Meeting and Bingo, on Thursday, December 5th at Nazareth Lutheran in Holt.
The Archery Club will be holding its Annual Meeting on Thursday, December 5th at 6pm at the new range at the Pennington County Fairgrounds.
The 5th Annual Tree Walk for Hospice will feature beautifully decorated trees, food and a variety of activities throughout the day on Saturday, December 7th from 10am-3pm at the TRF Eagles Club. You can view decorated trees and vote on your favorite; trees will be available for purchase through a Silent Auction. The Holiday Bake Sale runs until items are gone, so get there early. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there from 10:30am-1:30pm; photos may be taken, and each child will receive a bag of treats provided by the Eagles. From 11am-3pm they will have a Soup and Breadstick Feed with a Free-will Donation at 2:30pm; tree judging is at 3pm. If you are an organization interested in decorating a tree, contact Laurie Harger at 686-3696 to reserve a spot. Pre-lit artificial trees will be provided to decorate as part of the $100 registration fee.
Miss North Star 2020, O’Brien Stromsodt, and the American Legion present Santa Day on Saturday, December 7th from 10am-Noon at the Middle River American Legion. From 10-1pm you’ll find Taco in a Bag, goodies, and cider and coffee, with a freewill offering. They’ll also have pictures with Santa and crafts for the kids from 10-noon. Proceeds go to Marshall County Sharing Tree and Food Baskets, which, for over 30 years, has provided gifts for children in need and food baskets for the elderly and disabled throughout Marshall County.
Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and every Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.
