(St. Cloud, MN) — Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says all three National Guard soldiers aboard a crashed Black Hawk helicopter are dead. The helicopter crashed yesterday into a Stearns County field during a routine maintenance flight. Walz announced the deaths last night, calling them heart-breaking. He has a long personal history with the National Guard, where he served for 24 years. National Guard officials say the names of those who died will be released once families are notified.
