As part of a yearly tradition, the residents of Oakland Park Communities are holding an annual event called “The Love Light Tree”, where a Christmas tree is lit with lights in honor or memory of someone or of a special event.  A lighting ceremony is held with a reading of names, Christmas carols are sung, with coffee fellowship to follow.  Instead of asking for a monetary donation to light a bulb, residents are asking that non-perishable food items be given; at the end of the season all items will be donated to the local food shelf.  Please join them at the lighting ceremony, which will be held in the Activity Room on Thursday, December 12th at 6:30pm.
