(New York, NY) — The former commissioner of the NBA is dead at the age of 77. David Stern passed away New Year’s Day, just weeks after suffering a brain hemorrhage. At the time he was rushed into emergency surgery, but he never recovered. Stern headed the NBA for three decades.
