The 2020 Indoor Archery League is holding a Sign-Up and Membership Drive from 5:00pm to 9:00pm each night on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, January 6th, 7th and 8th at the Indoor Range at the TRF Pennington County Fairgrounds.  Anyone interested in archery can learn, improve and challenge their archery skills.  For more information call Bryan Malone at 686-9518.

On the evening of Saturday, January 11th the Friends of Rydell and Glacial Ridge Refuges Association will be hosting a Candlelight Ski and Owl Prowl Event at Rydell National Wildlife Refuge near Erskine; the Visitor Center will be open throughout the event, which will run from 4:45pm-8:30pm.  As visitors traverse the trails, multiple owl calling stations will be set up where the calls of several owl species will be projected into the woods to try to generate a response.  They will have several pairs of adult and child size skis, as well as snowshoes, available for visitors to use.  If temperatures are below zero or wind chills are in the double-digits below zero, the event will be cancelled and potentially rescheduled.  If you have questions, contact Lisa Wiersma at 218-687-2229×10 or at lisawiersma@fws.gov.

Bethania Free Lutheran, located west of Newfolden, will be hosting their annual “After Christmas Service” on Sunday, January 12th at 2:30pm.  The Todd Bjorgaard family will share a devotion and music; there will be lunch served and candy bags handed out.  Come and bring a friend!

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and every Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children. The Elevate NextGen Youth Center in Thief River Falls is open daily after school from 3pm-6pm.  It is open to all students in grades 6-12, providing a safe environment, tutoring and other programs.  Games, internet access and helpful adults will be there for all students; located at 411 North Horace Avenue in Thief River Falls.
