Governor Tim Walz is proposing a two billion dollar state public works plan. Walz unveiled the final phase of the state bonding package yesterday. The money would pay for a record number of projects around the state. Some of the local scale projects include repurposing a monorail track as a walkway at the Minnesota Zoo and repairing a sea wall and lakewalk in Duluth. Larger statewide projects include a new Emergency Operations Center and improvements to the lab that serves the state health and agricultural departments.
