Here is the most recent blotter report from the Law Enforcement Center in Thief River Falls.
January 13th at 5:03 pm an employee of Pennington Main reported the theft of a counter donation box. Thief River Falls Police responded and cited Noah Tyrell Hawkins, age 21 of Thief RIver Falls, with theft.
January 14th what started off as a motorist assist ended in arrest. At 2:09 am, the Department of Transportation reported a vehicle had slid off the road on Highway 59 in the area of the Sanford Wellness Center. Thief River Falls Police responded to the call and ended up charging Olena Kay Anderson, age 34 of Red Lake Falls, with refusal to submit to dwi testing in the second degree.
Later on the 14th, at 08:52 in the morning, Thief River Falls Police received a report of a gas drive-off from Pennington Main. A store employee reported the gas drive-off and some food had been stolen back on January 9th. Abby Lee Mossbeck, age 38 of East Grand Forks, was cited for theft.
Finally, again on the 14th, Thief RIver Falls Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pennington Avenue and Greenwood Street-the call came in at 10:20 that evening. A 1998 Dodge Ram. driven by Mason Larson of Thief River Falls, was approaching the roundabout and failed to see a Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Kristina Swenson of Thief River Falls, which was already in the roundabout. The Dodge Ram ran into the Pontiac Grand Prix and Mason Forrest Larson, age 16 of Thief River Falls, was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
