The North Dakota Department of Game and Fish says eight deer tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease last year.  They were all taken from areas previously known to have the illness, and the state’s veterinarian says six of them were mule deer and two were white-tailed deer.   There’s been a total of 11 deer with the illness detected in the state since last September. The fatal illness attacks a deer’s central nervous system and causes it to act erratically.
