The Wolves acquired guard D’Angelo Russell along with guard Jacob Evans and forward Omari Spellman from the Warriors before yesterday’s trade deadline. Minnesota sends Golden State Andrew Wiggins as well as first and second round draft picks in 2021. The Wolves also picked up forward James Johnson from Memphis for center Gorgui Dieng.

Zach Parise added an insurance tally late in the third for Minnesota, which finished 5-and-2 on its long homestand. The Wild visit Dallas tonight before returning home for four more games at The X.

(University Park, PA) — The Golden Gophers are headed to University Park to play 20th-ranked Penn State tomorrow. Minnesota snapped its two-game skid with a 70-52 rout of Wisconsin on Wednesday. The Gophers sit at 12-and-10 on the season and 6-and-6 in Big Ten action. The Nittany Lions are 17-and-5 and 7-and-4.
