Parent-Teacher Conferences at Lincoln High School, Franklin Middle School, and Challenger Elementary School will be held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, February 25th, 27th and 28th. They will be using Synergy, their student information system, to schedule the conferences.  The site is open now and will close on Friday, February 21st at 3pm.

A hockey tradition continues with the “Battle of Brooks Avenue”, featuring Arctic Cat vs. Digi-Key, on Wednesday, February 12th at 6pm at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls.  Concessions will be open; there will be Chuck-a-Puck and a Free Will Donation, with all proceeds distributed to local charities through Digi-Key Cares.  Door prizes will be awarded and include Digi-Key, Arctic Cat, Norskie, and Zane McIntyre gear.

The Norsekids Foundation is hosting “Skate with the Norskies” on Wednesday, February 12th, immediately after the “Battle of Brooks Avenue” game, until 8:30pm.  You must bring your own skates or rent them from Legends Sporting Goods.  All kids are welcome to come to this FREE event.

The TRF Area Community Theater presents a Valentine’s Dinner Theater, “Last of the Red-Hot Lover’s”, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, February 12th-14th at the Eagles Club in Thief River Falls.  Tickets are $25 each and include the show, a taco bar and dessert.  Tickets are available at Digi-Key or at www.trfact.org.

Enjoy an evening of fellowship and fun at “Guest Night” at 6pm on Tuesday, February 18th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Come and hear Ronn Kennedy talk about “Woodworking”, John Covlin from Red Lake Falls will share about his “Journey to Youth Ministry” and Chuck and Wanda Vigness will bring their musical talents.  “Guest Night” is a special night where the men in our lives are invited to join us.  The cost is $11.00; for reservations or cancelations call Carmen at 681-3091.  Reservations are appreciated by Thursday, February 13th, call by Monday noon; sponsored by the Thief River Falls Christian Women’s Clubs/Stonecroft Ministries.

The museum in Greenbush presents the 10th Annual Sweet Sixteen Snowmobile Show on Saturday, February 15th.  Free registration starts at 9am with the show running from 10am-2pm, held on the south end of Main Street.  Activities include awarding of door prizes and trophies, lunch, trail rides, and games.  For more information call Jared at 218-689-3314.

It’s Depot Tacos 2020 on Saturday, February 15th at the Middle River American Legion.   The menu, serving from 4:30-8pm, is taco & a beverage for $8, and elephant ear for $3.  Drawings will be held for many prizes in the Valentine Raffle beginning at 7:30 pm.  Lucky Buck Drawings throughout the evening are provided by Central Boiler and the Middle River Community Theater board members.  Proceeds go to Ye Olde Depot Theatre Improvement Fund. NOTE: TACOS ARE FRIED IN PEANUT OIL.

OakRidge Lutheran Church is serving their 18th Annual Lasagna Supper on Saturday, February 15th from 4-7pm.  The menu includes homemade lasagna and garlic toast, lettuce salad, creamy homemade dessert, coffee and milk; gluten-free lasagna will be offered.  Take-outs will be available and a free will offering will be collected.  They will also have a bake sale during this time.

Alma Free Lutheran of rural Argyle will have a Valentine Dinner on Saturday, February 15th at 5:30pm; everyone is invited.

There will be a Sweetheart Dinner on Sunday, February 16th from 11am-1pm at the Viking Diner and Antiques in Viking.  The menu includes salad, BBQ ribs or chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, glazed carrots, dessert and beverage.  The price is $12.50 for adults and $5 for 8 years and under.  Proceeds go to the Viking Community Fund.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and every Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children.
