The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a single vehicle accident Saturday morning(2-15-2020) at 08:11. The accident occurred about 2 miles east of Roseau on Highway 11. An eastbound 2009 Ford pick-up, driven by Gregory Wayne Peterson, age 63-of Lancaster was pulling a trailer with two snowmobiles on it. The trailer slid to the right on an ice and snow-covered roadway while traveling through a curve sending the vehicle into the left ditch where it rolled over and came to rest on its roof. Gregory Peterson was transported to the Grand Forks hospital with life-threatening injuries.Peterson was transporting three passengers at the time: Lucinda Hanson, age 55, of Euless, Texas; Richard Nicholson, age 83, of Lancaster and Crystal Peterson, age 58, also of Lancaster, None of the passengers were injured, all individuals were wearing their seatbelts, the vehicles airbag did deploy and there was no alcohol involved. State Patrol was assisted by the Roseau County Sheriff’s Office.
