There will be a Fish Fry in the Parish Hall at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, serving from 5:30pm-7:00pm every Friday through Lent.  Choose from one or two fillets of deep-fried, beer-battered walleye with all the trimmings; $11 for one fillet, $13 for two.  Carry-out orders are available from 4:30-7pm; delivery orders will be taken after 3pm, call 681-3560.

St. Anne’s Church of Goodridge will be holding their Annual Fish Fry on Friday’s during Lent, through April 3rd, serving from 4:30 – 7:00 pm.  The cost is one fillet/$11 and two fillets/$13.

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is hosting a Winter Fantasy Art Show at their gallery at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls through Friday, February 28th.  You can meet the artists at a reception on the 28th from 6-8pm; refreshments will be served.  The Arts Council’s “Call for Entries for the 2020 Annual Art Exhibit” deadline is February 29th and their Artist of the Year nominations deadline is also February 29th. The Warren Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their 128th Annual Fireman’s Ball and Smorgasbord on Saturday, February 29th at the American Legion in Warren.  They will be serving from 5pm-7:30pm with dancing following from 8pm-1am.  The cost is a free will offering; formal wear is not required.

The Frosty Tines Deer Expo will be held on Sunday, March 1st from 11am to 4pm at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls.  This is a FREE family friendly event.  Enjoy speakers and presentations throughout the day, vendor booths, kids’ events and other activities.  Hunters are invited to bring their mounts to be eligible for prizes.

Northern State Bank and the Minnesota Commerce Department is putting on a “Senior Financial Fraud” Seminar on Thursday, March 5th at 2pm at the TRF Heritage Center.  Learn how to avoid becoming a victim of financial fraud and scams that target seniors.  This event is free of charge and open to the public.

Glendon and Bernice McKeever of Middle River have recently lost everything in a house fire.  A fund to assist them has been set up at Border State Bank; any donations will help them through this difficult time.

The Elevate NextGen Youth Center in Thief River Falls is open daily after school from 3pm-6pm.  It is open to all students in grades 6-12, providing a safe environment, tutoring and other programs.  Games, internet access and helpful adults will be there for all students; located at 411 North Horace Avenue in Thief River Falls.
