Northern State Bank and the Minnesota Commerce Department are putting on a “Senior Financial Fraud” Seminar on Thursday, March 5th at 2pm at the TRF Heritage Center.  Learn how to avoid becoming a victim of financial fraud and scams that target seniors.  This event is free of charge and open to the public.

The TRF Area Community Theater is hosting the FM Opera on Thursday, March 5th at 7pm at St. Bernard’s Church in Thief River Falls.  The concert includes Operatic, Broadway and Pop musical styles.  Tickets are $10 at the door or FREE with a TRF Concert series ticket; 18 and under is FREE.

There will be a Fish Fry in the Parish Hall at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, serving from 5:30pm-7:00pm every Friday through Lent.  Choose from one or two fillets of deep-fried, beer-battered walleye with all the trimmings; $11 for one fillet, $13 for two.  Carry-out orders are available from 4:30-7pm; delivery orders will be taken after 3pm, call 681-3560.

St. Anne’s Church of Goodridge will be holding their Annual Fish Fry on Friday’s during Lent, through April 3rd, serving from 4:30 – 7:00 pm.  The cost is one fillet/$11 and two fillets/$13.

United Lutheran NALC of Bernier/Gonvick is serving a Potato Klub Supper from 4-7pm on Saturday, March 7th; a freewill offering will be collected.

There will be a benefit for Joe Violette at 5pm on Saturday, March 7th at the Red Lake Falls American Legion.  They will have a free-will offering meal with a silent and live auction during the evening.  Joe is battling Lymphoma Cancer; monetary donations can be made at Unity Bank in Red Lake Falls.

TRF Summer Baseball Registration is open for the summer of 2020.  All players from 7-8 years old to 16-18 years old are welcome to register for the upcoming season with the Thief River Falls Baseball Association.  Go to prowlerbaseball.org to register.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and every Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Glendon and Bernice McKeever of Middle River have recently lost everything in a house fire.  A fund to assist them has been set up at Border State Bank; any donations will help them through this difficult time.
