There will be a Fish Fry in the Parish Hall at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, serving from 5:30pm-7:00pm every Friday through Lent. Choose from one or two fillets of deep-fried, beer-battered walleye with all the trimmings; $11 for one fillet, $13 for two. St. Anne’s Church of Goodridge will be holding their Annual Fish Fry on Friday’s during Lent, through April 3rd, serving from 4:30 – 7:00 pm. The cost is one fillet/$11 and two fillets/$13.
The Pennington County Humane Society presents the 15th Annual “Woofstock 2020” Benefit on Saturday, March 14th from 11am-2pm at the TRF Eagle’s Club. Activities include a freewill burger lunch, a silent auction, bake sale, face painting, balloon animals and pictures with mascots. To donate baked goods and silent auction items contact Sheila at 686-7039. All proceeds go directly to care of shelter pets.
Trails for Treatment is having a Freewill Offering Musical Fundraiser at 2pm on Sunday, March 15th at the Presbyterian Church in Red Lake Falls. Join them for a fun-filled afternoon of music and fellowship. Coffee and bars will be served; hosted by the Retired Flaming Flamingos.
The TRF Just for Kix dancers will have a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Monday, March 16th from 4-8pm at the TRF Armory. A free ride on the “Viking” bus will be available from the Gazebo parking lot to the Armory; they will offer “to go” orders also. Come and get a sneak peek of their upcoming competition routines. A freewill donation will be collected, with all proceeds going towards dancers expenses when they perform in the Outback Bowl in December 2020.
The Lincoln High School Choral Department proudly presents the 6th Annual “Music Matters” Show on Monday, March 16th in the LHS Commons. Featuring the Lincoln High Vocal Inferno, the Franklin Sunrise Singers plus featured student soloists. Doors open at 6:15pm, with the show starting at 7:00pm sharp. This is a freewill donation fundraiser, no tickets are required, pick your own chair.
The Battle of Brooks Avenue 9 hockey game, Arctic Cat vs Digi Key, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17th at 6 pm at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in TRF. Admission is free-will, and activities include concessions, door prizes, and a chuck-a-puck. All proceeds will go to Digi-Key Cares charities.
Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and every Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
