Governor Tim Walz has temporarily closed all Minnesota bars and restaurants for dine-in service; until further notice. The governor’s order also covers health clubs, salons, spas, theaters, museums, food courts, coffee houses, and places of “public accommodations and amusement”.

Thief River Falls Public Schools will be offering breakfast and lunch free of charge to all children from preschool to age 18 on weekdays through April. This will be available via curbside pickup at the following locations: Lincoln High School – Main Entrance, Franklin Middle School – Entrance Door #2 on the North side of School and Challenger Elementary School – Front Entrance. The Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf will be open on Tuesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). They are now doing a drive-thru only until further notice; please stay in your car and items will be brought to you.
