Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota increased by 59 since Wednesday to 346 Today (3-26-2020) as reported by the Minnesota Department of Health. 1475 additional tests were completed from Wednesday for a total of 12,950. These include tests from both the Minnesota Department of Public Health Lab and other outside laboratories.
There have now been two deaths in Minnesota due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The death of a person in their eighties was reported March 19th and a second was included on today’s report. Of the 346 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 41 required hospitalization, 31 are still hospitalized today and 134 no longer need to be isolated.
There was one case confirmed in Mahnomen County in today’s report. There are still no confirmed reports in Pennington or any surrounding counties, although there have been 20 people tested in Pennington County. Eleven of the tests have come back negative and the other 9 are still awaiting results.
