Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota increased by 53 since Monday to 629 cases Tuesday (3-31-2020) as reported by the Minnesota Department of Health. 958 additional tests were completed since Monday (3-30-2020) for a total of 19, 780 total tests. Of the 629 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 112 patients required hospitalization. Of patients hospitalized, 56 are still hospitalized and 26 of those hospitalized are still in an intensive care unit. 12 of the patients with confirmed cases have died, an increase of two since Monday. 288 of the patients with COVID-19 no longer need to be isolated.
52 of Minnesota’s 87 counties now have the presence of at least one case on COVID-19. Pennington County has zero confirmed cases as of Tuesday (3-31-2020) morning at eight. 39 patients have been tested of which 34 tests were negative. Authorities await results on five remaining tests.
