(Dayton, OH) — Iowa’s Luka Garza is among five finalists for this year’s Wooden Award, given to the top player in college basketball. Other finalists for this year’s award is Dayton’s Obi Toppin, Udoka Azubuike of Kansas, Seton Hall’s Myles Powell, and Markus Howard of Marquette.

(Undated) — The NCAA is extending the recruiting dead period to May 31st due to the coronavirus pandemic. Officials voted in favor of the extension yesterday. Coaches can communicate with prospective student-athletes by phone or email during the dead period but can’t engage in in-person recruiting on or off campus.

(Undated) — Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will take part in a charity golf tournament against former rival Peyton Manning. Golf.com reports Brady and Manning will pair up with either Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson for a rematch on the course. The 18-hole event is expected to take place two weeks before other pro sports leagues return to action.
