Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota increased by 47 since Thursday (4-2-2020) to 789 cases as of today (4-3-2020) as reported by the Minnesota Department of Health.
1833 additional tests were completed since Thursday for a total of 24, 227 total tests. Of the 789 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 156 patients required hospitalization. Of patients hospitalized, 86 are still hospitalized and 40 of those hospitalized are still in an intensive care unit. 22 of the patients with confirmed cases have died, an increase of four since Thursday.. 410 of the patients with COVID-19 no longer need to be isolated.
56 of Minnesota’s 87 counties now have the presence of at least one case on COVID-19, a number which remains unchanged since Thursday. Pennington County has zero confirmed cases as of today (4-3-2020) morning at eight. 54 patients have been tested of which 48 tests were negative. Authorities await results on the remaining six tests.
